The Margaret River region in the South West of Western Australia provides ideal conditions for producing varietally distinct wines of the highest quality. A pioneer of the region, Vasse Felix, produces a complex, softly textured Chardonnay through the selection of premium parcels of fruit and wild yeast fermentation in French Oak barriques. The final blend is distinct, elegant in style and true to Margaret River. The Vasse Felix Chardonnay can be enyoyed in its youth, but will develop richness and texture with short to medium term cellaring. 18,40 EUR

Marsanne is a white grape variety which originates from the Northern Rhone region in France. It is one of 8 permitted varieties in the Cotes de Rhone appellation. The Churchview 2007 Marsanne is a testament to the variety, displaying straw colours, and lifted aromatics of honeydew, apples, pears, soft spices and subtle nuances of vanilla from some careful oak application in the winery. The aroma builds as you progress through the glass, changing and developing over time. The full flavoured wine continues the savoury notes of pears and spice. The wine is concentrated, layered and complex, displaying clean acidity
and a long finish. 16,90 EUR

The Churchview “The Bartondale” Chardonnays are setting a new standard for Margaret River Chardonnays. This vintage, like its predecessors, exhibits intense aromas of figs, grapefruit, stonefruit, hazelnuts and toasty oak. The palate is buttery, moderately yeasty, yet amazingly lively with a huge concentration of fruit beautifully balanced and intermingled with the well-handled oak treatment and appropriate winemaking. The acidity is quite remarkable and leaves the palate fresh and light despite the obvious concentration of flavour, and there is a very satisfying savoury twist to the finish. Once again proof of
Churchview Estate’s ability to produce stunning Chardonnays year after year.

Light straw in colour, with lifted aromatics of lemon sorbet, jasmine fowers and honeydew melon. The palate shows rich citrus and melon intensity, with a lovely long fnish. The fnish is slightly sweet, however fresh acidity keeps the wine refreshingly clean.
Enjoy with seafood, salads or any whites meat.
