St. Johns is Margaret River Churchview Estates best range for the wine enthusiast. Rare, unique and interesting wines meticulously handcrafted and blended to reflect the heritage of each varietal. The blends will only be produced when the team at Churchview deem them capable of matching the worlds best. This Marsanne got 94 point by Ray Jordan! Inoculated with a neutral Champagne yeast for fermentation to allow the grape to express itself. 10% was fermented in 3 year old French Allier barriques and aged in there for only 8 weeks, when it was blended back into the stainless steel portion. Only 1500 bottles have been produced.
Fresh aromas of pears, apricots, honeymelon and chamomile flowers. A lovely pear and melon mid palate begins the flavour, with a fresh savoury finish. This wine is about flavour and texture. New Screwcap. 27,40 EUR

Gulf Station is the original pastoral holding of the Bell family who settled in the Yarra Valley in 1864. The side of the De Bortoli Winery was known as the Summer Paddock. It has a large dam, held green pasture throughout the dry summer month and was a cool place to be seen drinking premium Yarra Valley wine. The Gulf Station range of wines are made from both estate grown fruit and that of other low yielding, premium Yarra Valley vineyard.
The nose shows hazelnuts, some mineral notes and undertones of citrus. Tight, lean complex citrus fruit with barrel complexity and nutty undertones. Long flavoured palate with excellent balance. Screwcap. 18,50 EUR
