Medium bodied on the palate with an earthen streak and fine line. Ripe, rich black and red cherry fruits meld with macerated summer fruits with a touche of raspberry lift. Plenty of Asian spice rears its head along with hints of jasmine blossom, earth, red licorice, ginger cake and subtle, seasoned oak nuance. Limited only! The Nitschke Block Shiraz is from the family´s vineyard in Bethany, one of the originally settled villages of the Barossa Valley. Planted in 1968, the vines are still traditionally hand pruned and picked. Production only 260 cases.
Quite energetic on the palate with a supple, medium-bodied mouth feel. Opulent ripe black plum, blackcurrant and mulberry fruit flow seamlessly into a mid-palate that shows hints of baking spice, mocha, licorice, dried flowers and dark chocolate.
